holy shit, facebook. so many people from high school are dating now. like, six or seven years later. i thought that just happened in movies?

I’d just say to aspiring journalists or writers—who I meet a lot of—do it now. Don’t wait for permission to make something that’s interesting or amusing to you. Just do it now. Don’t wait. Find a story idea, start making it, give yourself a deadline, show it to people who’ll give you notes to make it better. Don’t wait till you’re older, or in some better job than you have now. Don’t wait for anything. Don’t wait till some magical story idea drops into your lap. That’s not where ideas come from. Go looking for an idea and it’ll show up. Begin now. Be a fucking soldier about it and be tough.

I love calling my dog “fat-bottomed squigs”

Wilmington, help!

I am going to be starting school soon, which means I am cutting back my hours at my job to just 3 days per week. I am looking for super part-time work on weekends/nights. I have lots of serving and bartending experience, as well as social media, copywriting, etc.

Does anyone know of a job opening that might work with that schedule? Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Finally cleaned and organized my studio! AND I painted and reupholstered my chair. Woooooooot! Now I am exhausted, haha.

I want to start making cosmetics and start my own small beauty brand.

I already know I love to make soap. But, I am such a makeup junkie and DIY freak that it doesn’t make any sense not to branch into cosmetics. I already know what I want to call it, but I am going to keep it a secret for now. I am anticipating months of trial and error, but I think this could be cool!
